The sound of waves crashing against the shoreline gives way to the site of a beautiful Latina in a bikini sitting on a beach chair overlooking the Caribbean Sea that surrounds the island of Puerto Rico. The Latina, Juanita, lights up a cigarette, she takes a pull and exhales the smoke.
"At Emperor's Cup the women of the Empire Wrestling Federation received their first taste of Juanita! Now, I was not one hundred percent prepared for this match as it has been some time since I last stepped foot in the ring but that is no excuse! I was unable to do what I set my goal on and that was to become the first ever EWF World Women's Champion! From the moment Akari, Shannon Riley, Ash Everett and myself barged in to Mr. Slater's office and had the championship officially created I have been dreaming of wearing nothing but that beautiful belt for my Papi!"
Juanita takes another pull off of her cigarette and exhales as the tropical wind wisps away the smoke.
"At the next edition of Evolution, Mr. Slater has put myself, the late entry to the Women's Championship match, Justice Cross, and his new favorite person's manager, Shannon Riley, in a triple threat match to decide who will receive the first title match against Ash Everett. The fact that the woman who led the revolution to create this division has to compete for an opportunity to face the champion is the biggest crying shame in the history of this business. Papi and I had the dream of leaving Emperor's Cup double champions...the EWF World Women's Champion, myself, and the EWF World Championship for Carlito Rodriguez. Unfortunately, neither of these dreams were realized at Emperor's Cup but time is on our side. We are still young, we are both still beautiful people and we are both still extremely talented...more talented than any of the other people in that locker room."
Juanita once again returns to her cigarette taking another pull and exhaling slowly through her mouth as the smoke slowly pours out.
"Ladies, Justice Cross and Shannon Riley, when the three of us meet inside of the EWF Underground at the fourth episode of EWF Evolution the world may think that there are three possibly outcomes to this matchup but there is only one. The outcome that has been pre-ordained by the creator above, the outcome that allows Juanita and Carlito Rodriguez to be one step closer to the domination of the men's and women's division within the Empire Wrestling Federation. When Juanita puts Shannon Riley or Justice Cross down on the mat with a Traicion de Amor and gets the three count, I will officially be on the clock! Officially begin the clock which will function as the count down for the end of Ash Everett's reign as EWF World Women's Champion and the clock which will function as the count down for the moment that Juanita becomes the second EWF World Women's Champion!"
Juanita takes another pull off of her cigarette as a man comes walking up from the sea. The man is dripping wet with salt water and is clearly Carlito Rodriguez. Carlito shouts out "Mami!!!!!!" as we close.

A spoon, held by a slender female hand, is spinning around in a light cup of coffee mixing milk and presumably sugar together. The cup is raised to the lips of "The Queen of the West Side" Shannon Riley who sips her coffee. She stares off to the woman across from her who's fiery red hair is a stark contrast to the golden blonde of Shannon. Shannon smiles before speaking.
It's so nice of you to stop by sis, it seems like we never see you come around the neighborhood anymore.
Shannon's older sister, Claire, had left Hell's Kitchen for college after high school. Claire was a great student but she was one of the best tenor saxophone players in New York City and being a female rather than a male in a male dominated instrument she was able to find some scholarship money to help the struggling Riley family afford to pay for her education.
It's nice to see that they've been cleaning the place up. Less junkies and streetwalkers, almost looks like a place that you can raise a family...almost.
Shannon rolls her eyes at her older sister's comment. Claire no longer approved of Hell's Kitchen, nor did she approve of Shannon's engagement to the neighborhood problem child John Cavanagh.
You really should try and convince John to go look at houses in Westchester. It's so beautiful, safe for a family, I met a wonderful man named James up there.
Sis, believe it or not John has been thinking of moving us out of the neighborhood but doesn't quite have the finances available yet.
Finances available? The guy probably has money buried or hidden in Swiss or Bahamian bank accounts!
Shannon shakes her head and ignores the comment.
Plus, if he did move us out to the suburbs he was saying it would probably be Long Island. Remember Petey Sheridan? He moved out there with his wife Jen when Jen found out she was pregnant. Jen's brother even moved out there too, I forget the name of the town, but it's nice right near the water. Plus, I think John might have some business out there.
Of course he does, like I said the man is flush with cash whether he wants to admit it or not.
Like he explained to me when we started seeing each other, you can't just go buy big ticket items with that money Claire.
Shannon's voice has reached a heightened sense of tension, Claire now sensing this tension tries to change the conversation.
Well, I see he's doing well with the wrestling again and that he finally got you a spot on the roster?
Yeah! When he was away, ya know me just being a manager, all I could really do is go to autograph signings. Ugh, those things, fat guys just drooling to get a picture with me and a an 8x10 of me in a skimpy bikini signed. Disgusting! Now I'll be in the ring so if he ever gets injured or anything I can keep wrestling.
Or anything, huh?

Well, I heard you didn't fare too well in your first match huh little sis?
I think I did pretty good for my first time out there. Sure, I didn't win the match, I'm not the Women's Champion, but my day will come. I've got to get in the ring more, kick some ass like Johnnie does and then I'll have my day as the EWF Women's Champion!
When is your next match? Maybe I'll watch.

I mean, I saw a little of it online but I don't buy wrestling pay-per-views.
Thanks sis, I can see how much I mean to you sometimes. My next match is next Saturday, its on Evolution...that's on television, maybe you can spare a couple hours of your life up there in Westchester with James to watch your little sis?

I'm facing two of the other women who didn't win the Women's Championship. Only thing is, winner is considered number one contender to the Women's Championship so if I can win this one I'll have a shot at Ash Everett at their next pay-per-view. Hopefully if I have a one on one match for the Women's Championship my big sister will watch the damn thing and cheer me on from home!
If it's in the budget.
Oh, you're so cheap! I'll get John to give you the fifty dollars...like you said he's always flush in cash! Anyway, not like you really want to hear it but I have to face that little slut Juanita again, I can't stand her and her sexual worship of her man Carlito. It's really disgusting she just lets him sleep with whoever and uses it as a guise for his "training" and being able to be ready to take on all challengers but he lost in the first round at the pay-per-view my loving sister didn't bother to buy. Then the other woman is named Justice Cross, seems like she's married to some other arrogant ass named Enforcer, she actually said I seem nice before our last match. I mean, I know I can be nice when it comes to friends and family but when it comes to some random woman across the ring from me I definitely won't be holding anything back.
You really seem to work with some strange people.
Shannon gives Claire an evil glare from the corner of her eye as the scene cuts to static.

As she woke up that morning in her home Justice Cross felt like something wasn't right. Getting up she would walk out of her bedroom looking around before going to her son's room. Quietly looking in she could see he wasn't sleeping which caused a confused look on her face. Because they lived in a two-story penthouse she walked to the stairs and immediately went down to the living room looking around before hearing voices in the kitchen. When she walked into the kitchen she saw Ian sitting at the table with Enforcer. Going to the table she sat next to her son.
Justice: How are my boys?
Ian: Good.
Enforcer: I am doing fantastic. Hey Justice -pauses smirking- how you doing?
Justice: You need to stop.
Enforcer: Is it wrong to ask my wife how she is?
Ian: You guys seriously need to go get a room. I'm out.
The two of them look at Ian and watch as he leaves the room.
Justice: Did that just come out of my son's mouth?
Enforcer: I think -gets a puzzled look on his face- I think it did. But seriously how are you this morning?
Justice: I slept like a baby so what does that tell you?
Enforcer: It tells me that you don't even seem to be worried about your match for EwF.
Justice: Oh you mean my number one contenders match? Why would I be worried about that?
Enforcer: Yeah I guess your right. I mean it is just Juanita and Shannon.
Justice: I'm not worried about it because I know I will win. I mean, first of all, there is Juanita. She doesn't really care much about anything unless it is making sure people know how she lets her man go and sleep with someone else. If she does that then either they have an open relationship or she just doesn't love him. And honestly who the hell would. He's a looser. I get that she still thinks I don't deserve to say that I helped make history for the EwF women but you know what at the same time I don't give a fuck. I mean sure I wasn't there when they barged into the boss man's office demanding something be done. But I was there for that match when it took place. I knew going into it that I was the new girl and that I should have waited another week before requesting my debut match for EwF but I wanted to help them make that history. It is kind of refreshing to see a group of girls who care about this business rather than see ones who just are there because of their looks. As a woman in this business, I have to say that if you don't care about the business you shouldn't even be there in the first place. You not only have to care about your craft but you have to care about the company that you work for. If your company folds then your out of a job and all those fans that once were your fans...well lets just say they end up giving up on you and if another company opens up in their market and wants to sign you...those fans remember where you were and why it folded. Those fans won't be fans of ours anymore and we will end up getting thrown to the back burner again.
Enforcer: So what your saying is that Juanita needs to realize that the women of EwF can do so much more for this company?
Justice: Uh yeah! We can be the catalyst that makes this company rise to the top. And....if she stops to think about it the women of EwF can be the reason that makes those really good at what they do come here. She is going to learn that in this match she doesn't even need to be pinned to lose. Hell even I don't need to be pinned to lose but that won't happen because I will be the one standing in the ring with my hand raised in the air.
Enforcer: And those are facts, Jack.
Justice: Yeah they are. You know what else is fact?
Enforcer: That your damn eggs I made you are getting cold?
Justice: Besides that.
Enforcer: Let me guess? The fact that Shannon thinks she is going to win this match too?
Justice: Exactly. I mean she is one who goes around worried about who I am married to than what will happen to her in the ring. I mean when I told her that I thought she seemed like the nice person that I felt she was I didn't do it to make friends with her. I'm saying she seems nice but at the same time, I know not to trust nice. I mean some wise person once said dta meaning don't trust anyone. And I don't trust Shannon. So much like Juanita doesn't need to be pinned to lose this match Shannon is in that same boat. I could just as easily pin Juanita to get the win and Shannon would still lose the match. Either way, neither one of them is winning. I guess you could say that this match was designed for me. Like I always say I walk into the ring with nothing and I leave with everything. I say what I am going to do and then I do what I say. So right now I am saying that I will walk into that ring with nothing...and I will walk out as the number one contender and then the fans of EwF can have the match they really want to see. Me against the EwF Women's champion.
They continue their conversation while getting up and going towards the living room area. The scene would end as she went up to get herself cleaned up for the day.
